Do I have to talk?
No. You can just listen. Many people don't share until their 2nd or 3rd meeting.
What if I cry?
Crying is normal and accepted. Everyone there has been overwhelmed too. Tissues are always available.
Can I bring the person I care for?
Most caregiver groups are for caregivers only—it's your space to speak freely. Some organizations offer separate groups for care recipients.
What if I don't like the group?
Not every group is the right fit. Try a different one. The connection matters more than the format.
💭 Your note: This group has been incredibly helpful. Sarah (the facilitator) really gets it, and I love the mix of people—everyone from adult children to spouses.
