Voice Entry âĸ Mood: đĢ Exhausted
I'm exhausted today. Mom was up three times last night, and I just feel like I'm running on empty. I know I need to ask for help, but it's so hard to admit that I can't do this alone.
Tom called and said he'd visit "soon" but that doesn't help me tonight. I'm trying to remember what the therapist said about setting boundaries, but when it's your own mother, how do you say no?
I did manage to take a 20-minute walk this afternoon while the aide was here. That helped a little. I need to be better about taking those small breaks when I can get them.
đ
Writing about setting boundaries is a sign of growth. You're recognizing your limits â that's the first step to getting the support you need.
